Why is every organisation even considering that how they can utilise VR for their business?

It is simple, every organisation wants to stand out by providing unique experiences and still being beneficial commercially .VR is becoming more accessible to plenty of headsets available on the market already. VR has been quiet well adapted in gaming but otherwise is still in its infancy and something that should be taken seriously. In several ways it can be affective in a distinguished way. It may provide memorable experiences. You can fill advertisements with fun . You can use it beautifully and interactively for storytelling and showcase your product via these interactive stories.

Lets have a look at what are the potential challenges:

1. Before AR and VR enters mainstream e-commerce. There is a need for innovative technologies right from those environments or setups where these are going to be implicated. Right now usage is limited to gamers , early adopters or techies.

2. The bare minimalistic devices available are also much more expensive than the usual counterparts.

3. To integrate it in different set ups optic mechanical designs will be needed. Such high precision optics at such scale is a challenge and need that particular industry to evolve much more than the current structuring.

4. FOV: Normal human vision requires FOV of 190 degrees horizontal and 120 degrees vertical. FOV of current devices is around 90 degrees. Now projected image in a larger FV the devices to be used are bulky. So, it’s just not optics but it has to work on weight, brightness, display quality , FOV, latency , power consumption for these consumer electronics.

Other factors affecting AR and VR :

Formfactor: In the long term , people expect AR devices to look more eyeglasses. Although people would be even happier there is any form where people don’t even have to wear any such thing , people will love it even more.

5G affecting AR/VR : As we know the more advanced technology means connectivity becoming more crucial.

Application Ecosystem: A few products geared up toward enterprise - use and others geared up towards consumer use but there doesn’t seem to be a platform or device that goes across multiple ecosystems.
